In the realm of pharmacological interventions for type 2 diabetes, several studies evaluated different agents. From the Lancet (London, England), Phase 3 data indicated that orforglipron demonstrated statistically significant superiority over dapagliflozin in reducing HbA1c levels at 40 weeks among adults with inadequate glycaemic control [2].

A separate study published in Med (New York, N.Y.) examined the use of tirzepatide in Chinese patients with early type 2 diabetes. The researchers reported that weekly tirzepatide significantly reduced both HbA1c levels and body weight compared to a placebo [3].

Regarding reproductive health and metabolic risk, a systematic review and meta-analysis in Frontiers in Medicine analyzed data from 5,507 women to assess the prevalence of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. The study found an observed prevalence of 24% among these patients [4].

Finally, research published in Frontiers in Medicine compared exercise modalities for body composition. A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials involving college students suggested that high-intensity interval training (HIIT) significantly reduced body weight and fat mass more than moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT), though the authors noted that HIIT did not consistently alter lipid or glucose markers [5].
