Vellito is an evidence-based medical news platform that delivers curated summaries of the latest peer-reviewed research, clinical trial results, and regulatory decisions. Our mission is to make high-quality medical research accessible to both healthcare professionals and patients.
How We Work
We aggregate research from trusted sources including PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, the FDA, EMA, CDC MMWR, medRxiv, Cochrane Library, and NIH News. Each article is summarized into two versions:
- For Healthcare Professionals — detailed clinical summaries with methodology, statistical significance, confidence intervals, and clinical implications
- For Patients — plain-language summaries written at an accessible reading level, focused on what the research means for everyday health decisions
Each summary is drafted automatically from the primary source, then checked against that source by a credentialed medical professional before publication. Our quality scoring evaluates evidence strength, methodology, and clinical relevance; drafts that fall short are held for additional human review rather than published.
