This study is a scoping review protocol, which means it is a plan for a future review rather than a report of completed research. Because it is in the planning stage, no actual data or results regarding health outcomes are available yet. The goal is to create a roadmap for future research.
Researchers plan to look at workers in energy-intensive industries that are moving toward decarbonization. They want to map out the different types of industrial processes and technologies being used. The study aims to identify what specific occupational exposures these workers face and what health consequences might occur during these changes.
In the future, this work will help identify current gaps in research and highlight emerging risks for workers. Because no data has been collected yet, these findings cannot be used to guide current medical treatments or workplace safety changes at this time.
