Recovering from lung cancer surgery is hard work. Many patients worry about breathing, pain, and feeling anxious or depressed at home. This study looked at whether a specific type of nursing support, guided by a home intelligent management platform, could help. The platform connects patients with nurses who offer personalized care right from their living rooms.
Fifty patients who had lung cancer surgery were split into two groups. One group received this new platform-guided nursing, while the other got standard care only. The group using the platform showed significant improvements in walking distance, daily function, and overall health status. They also reported less pain, less shortness of breath, and lower scores for anxiety and depression.
Both groups saw some improvement on their own, but the platform group did better across the board. The study did not report any safety issues or side effects. However, because only 50 people participated, these results show potential but are not yet enough to prove the method works for everyone. More research is needed to confirm these benefits before hospitals widely adopt this approach.
