This study looked at patients who had stomach cancer surgery. Researchers compared a new digital follow-up system with standard care. The digital system used a custom app to send personalized nutrition plans and track progress closely.

The group using the digital tool saw better results. At one year, they lost less weight, kept more muscle, and had higher rates of recovering from malnutrition. They also had fewer complications and were less likely to be readmitted to the hospital.

Patients in the digital group followed their nutrition plans better and returned to their intended cancer treatments sooner. The study suggests this low-cost approach could be a helpful addition to standard care, though the findings come from a limited group of patients.

Because the study was small and looked back at past data, these results show a link between the digital tool and better outcomes. More research is needed to confirm these benefits for all patients.
