Ghana faced a tough challenge during the pandemic. Getting medical oxygen to patients in remote areas was hard. Many people also needed vaccines. A review looked at ten new ways to handle these problems. The goal was to make the health system stronger for everyone.

The results showed clear progress. Vaccine coverage reached 93.2% of the population. Most people who tested positive for COVID-19 got the medications they needed. Perhaps most importantly, the distance people had to travel to get oxygen dropped significantly. It went from covering 12.1% of needs to covering 69.7% of needs. This means more patients could get life-saving oxygen without traveling far.

No safety problems were reported during this time. The study team did not see any bad events or reasons to stop these new approaches. However, this was a review of different plans rather than a single long-term trial. The work was supported by the United States Government. These findings suggest that mixing pandemic response tools into daily health work can help communities survive crises better.
