This large review looked at over one hundred studies to see how adding special Chinese herbs helps women with endometriosis. The herbs focus on moving blood and stopping blood clots in traditional medicine. Doctors combined these herbs with regular Western medical treatments to see the best results.

Women who took the herbal mix felt much less pain. Their pain scores dropped by one or two points on a standard scale. Also, their hormone levels improved, and the fluid in their blood went down. The cysts on their ovaries got smaller, and fewer women had their condition come back later.

Safety was a big concern for the doctors. The group taking herbs had fewer side effects than those taking only standard medicine. No serious problems happened, and people could stop taking the medicine easily if needed. This mix of treatments gives doctors a better option to help patients feel better.

The review found that Guizhi Fuling pills worked very well when added to regular care. However, more big studies with longer follow-up time are needed to confirm these good results. This new information helps doctors choose the best plan for each patient.
