For women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, or PCOS, finding gentle ways to manage symptoms can feel like a constant struggle. A new review looked at nine trials on yoga for women of reproductive age with this condition. The review found that yoga interventions, which include poses, breathing exercises, and meditation, were linked to improvements in weight, body measurements, insulin levels, hormone balance, and psychological well-being like stress and body image. The studies involved women with PCOS, but the number of trials was small and the yoga practices varied a lot. No safety problems were reported, but the evidence is not strong enough to be certain. The review notes that the studies were diverse and the sample sizes were low, so the results should be seen as promising but not definitive. More large, well-designed trials are needed to know if yoga can be a reliable part of routine PCOS care.
