If you live with the daily stiffness and pain of arthritis, you know that staying active can be a real challenge. A new report set out to understand just how many adults with arthritis in the United States are managing to get different kinds of physical activity. The report looked at this question, but it didn't publish the findings on how many people are walking, swimming, or doing other activities. Because the results weren't shared, we can't say if most people are finding ways to move or if they're struggling to stay active. This kind of information is a first step—it tells us what questions researchers are asking, but without the numbers, we're left wondering about the real story of movement and pain across the country.

What this means for you:
A report asked how adults with arthritis stay active, but didn't share the results.
