Knee osteoarthritis makes walking painful and limits daily life. A new analysis looked at Wuqinxi, a traditional Chinese exercise, to see if it helps people with this condition. The study combined data from eight hundred and nine participants to get a clear picture of the results.
The findings show real improvements in how well the knee works. Scores measuring joint function went up significantly. Muscle strength around the knee also got better. Patients reported less pain on standard pain scales. These changes mean people can likely move more easily and feel less discomfort.
Safety was not a concern in this review. No serious side effects or reasons to stop the exercise were reported. However, the study did not report specific safety details beyond the lack of adverse events. This analysis confirms that Wuqinxi is a promising option for managing knee problems.
