Topiramate demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in Total Tic Score at Day 70 5. Other pharmacological interventions, including Ondansetron, D-serine, Levetiracetam, and Valbenazine, were evaluated but did not reach statistical significance in their primary tic severity outcomes [1, 3, 4, 11].

Multiple trials evaluating TEV-50717 at various doses and time points (8 to 12 weeks) showed no statistically significant difference compared to placebo regarding the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTSS) Total Tic Score or Clinical Global Impression scores [6, 7].
