Gastrointestinal: what the trials found

Clinical trials for gastrointestinal conditions have evaluated various pharmacological and monitoring interventions. Liposomal bupivacaine was assessed for post-operative pain management, resulting in a score of 4 on the Visual Analog Scale 1. Mycophenolate Sodium 2, IDIAZOLE 20mg DR tabs [3, 4], and Vigileo Monitor 5 were also evaluated in established trials.

In studies regarding cholestasis, Omegaven® demonstrated a significant reversal of cholestasis (defined as Direct Bilirubin to > 2.0 mg/dL) with results of 11.7 and 6.4 (p=0.001) 6. Additionally, Dexmedetomidine was evaluated in a Phase 3 trial for gastrointestinal-related outcomes 7.
