Oncology: what the trials found

Clinical evidence demonstrates that Panitumumab is associated with specific efficacy and safety outcomes in relevant patient populations. In one study, Panitumumab showed a progression-free survival rate of 67% at week 17 and 55% at week 25, with corresponding disease control rates of 64% and 58% respectively 6. Another trial confirmed significant improvements in progression-free survival (p=0.0259) and local regional control over a 2-year period for patients treated with Panitumumab 7. Additionally, laboratory safety data indicated that the number of participants experiencing Grade 3 or higher laboratory abnormalities was low across study cohorts 8.

Interventions such as AMG 479 in combination with Gemcitabine were evaluated for survival outcomes in metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma; however, specific comparative efficacy values against placebo plus Gemcitabine were reported as nearly identical (7.0 vs 7.1; 7.2) 2. Furthermore, the Oncolo-GIST intervention was evaluated and established in multiple clinical contexts [19, 20].

Recent results — preliminary, needs further review

  • E-602 is currently under investigation in a Phase 2 trial 3.
  • SUPLEXA is being evaluated in a Phase 1 study 11.
  • The SPARK intervention was assessed using the SSPedi tool, showing symptom scores ranging from 10.2 to 13.2 across groups 17.
  • An adapted walking platform is currently under investigation 16.

For the clinician treating this condition

  • Panitumumab demonstrates significant progression-free survival and local regional control in specific clinical settings [6, 7].
  • Safety profiles for Panitumumab indicate a low incidence of high-grade laboratory abnormalities 8.
