Androgenetic alopecia: what the trials found

Several interventions have demonstrated statistically significant improvements in hair growth metrics for androgenetic alopecia. P-3074 showed a significant increase in the adjusted mean change from baseline in hair growth as assessed by Target Area Hair Count (TAHC) at both 12 weeks and 24 weeks (p < 0.001) 2. However, changes in Target Area Hair Width (TAHW) for this intervention did not reach statistical significance (p = 0.322) 2.

Minoxidil 5% topical foam demonstrated significant improvements in both Target Area Hair Count and Subject Assessment of Scalp Coverage (p < 0.0001) 3.
