Several trials evaluated pharmacological interventions for managing symptoms related to chronic prostatitis and associated pain. In a Phase 3 trial, levofloxacin was assessed regarding the NIH-CPSI Total Score 2. Another Phase 3 trial demonstrated that Cernilton resulted in statistically significant symptomatic improvement in the Pain Domain of the NIH-CPSI (47 vs. 33; p<0.05) and showed improvements across secondary outcomes including the total score, micturition, life quality domains, and a decrease in urine leukocyte counts 3.
