Schizoaffective disorder: what the trials found

New evidence indicates that Valbenazine is associated with a reduction in the Tardive Dyskinesia Impact Scale (TDIS) total score at week 24, alongside improvements in several Sheehan Disability Scale (SDS) items and an increase in Euro Quality of Life Visual Analogue Scale (EQ-VAS) scores 1. Memantine has demonstrated significant improvements in the Positive & Negative Symptom Scale Total (PANSSt) and the MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery Global Composite T-score (MCCB-C), though it did not significantly impact the World Health Organization Disability Schedule (WHODAS 2.0) 2.

Cognitive interventions show varied results: galantamine was associated with significant improvements in overall cognitive Z-scores, specific ECG changes, and Simpson Angus Scale scores 6.
