Quetiapine extended-release has demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in the Zanarini Rating Scale for Borderline Personality Disorder (ZAN-BPD) scores 5.

Brexpiprazole was evaluated in Phase 3 and Phase 2 trials; however, results did not reach statistical significance on the ZAN-BPD scale 7, nor were significant changes observed in the Clinical Global Impression - Severity of Illness (CGI-S) or Patient's Global Impression of Severity (PGI-S) scales 7. Safety assessments for Brexpiprazole showed no significant changes in Simpson-Angus Scale (SAS), Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS), or Barnes Akathisia Rating Scale (BARS) scores 6.
