For seasonal allergic rhinitis, several treatments have demonstrated efficacy. A fixed combination of azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate nasal spray (Dymista) significantly improved total nasal symptom scores (TNSS) and total ocular symptom scores (TOSS) compared to placebo 2. Similarly, another azelastine/fluticasone combination showed significant improvements in reflective and instantaneous TNSS 22. Fluticasone furoate combined with fexofenadine significantly reduced nighttime symptom scores and reflective total nasal symptom scores 717.
