Several iron-based interventions demonstrated significant improvements in hemoglobin (Hb) levels for patients with anemia. Elemental iron showed a statistically significant increase in Hb concentration over time 1. Ferumoxytol was associated with significant increases in Hb concentrations at various time points [14, 15, 17] and showed a median Hb increase of 11.45 units post-intervention 20.
