Pregabalin (50mg) has been shown to significantly improve pain control in trauma patients compared to other interventions (p<0.05). While it did not result in a statistically significant difference in opioid usage, it was associated with a statistically significant reduction in the rate of intubation (p<0.05) 1.

Protein supplementation has been evaluated for its impact on recovery, resulting in 15.0 and 13.9 ventilator-free days respectively 9.
