Arrhythmias: what the trials found

Clinical evidence regarding the management of arrhythmias includes various pharmacological and procedural interventions. The use of Atropine has been evaluated in clinical settings 1, while Atorvastatin was also investigated as a treatment modality 22.

Catheter-based interventions show significant results for specific arrhythmias. The THERMOCOOL® SMARTTOUCH™ Catheter demonstrated that 70.2% of subjects were free from documented symptomatic atrial fibrillation (AF), atrial tachycardia (AT), or atrial flutter (AFL) at a 12-month follow-up (p<0.0001) 5. Additionally, the NAVISTAR THERMOCOOL Catheter showed high rates of acute success (94% to 100%) and significant chronic success for treating symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (66% vs 16%, p<0.001) 6.

Other interventions included Colchicine 4 and fat tissue needle aspiration 3.
