LASIK and topography-guided LASIK are effective for myopic correction. In a Phase 3 trial, T-CAT topography-guided LASIK with the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q 400 Hz Excimer Laser achieved 94.78% of eyes within ±0.50 D and 100% within ±2.00 D of target refraction 13. Another Phase 3 trial of LASIK correction of myopic refractive errors reported 98.2% of eyes achieving uncorrected visual acuity of 20/40 or better and 0% losing more than 2 lines of best spectacle-corrected visual acuity 14.

Contact lens use and care solutions have been studied for safety and tolerability.
